There’s finally a decent text editor for Windows. Those of you who have looked on with jealousy at BBEdit and TextMate now have E-TextEditor. It uses TextMate bundles too. About goddamn time if you ask me.

I’m a Windows developer, unfortunately, because I can’t afford to get a Mac just yet. However, E has made in much, much better. I’ve been using it now for a couple of months. I develop mainly in Rails, so one could imagine my desire to use Textmate.
I don’t know if you’ve heard of Intype or not, but that’s another one I’ve been following. The current download seems really nice and stable, but they don’t yet have a project view. I still don’t know which one is better, but at least I’m seeing a couple of options here and there.
