Garfield the cat doesn’t actually speak, so what would Garfield the comic look like if he just wasn’t there? Apparently it would look like Jon is a mental patient.

About Us

Don't look behind the curtain! Nothing to see here...

We’re a group of friends who went to Olin College of Engineering. We launched this site for a variety of reasons. Zach wanted a place to be angry at things online, Sean wanted a design challenge, Brendan wanted to talk about gaming and Brian needed more frustration in his life.

In general our interests tend towards technology, web2.0, interaction design, internet fads, video games and other interesting stuff. We tend to have sort of quirky senses of humor, so if you feel insulted it probably wasn’t on purpose. Unless you do UI design for Microsoft. In that case we probably honestly meant it.

We came up with the name after an evening of brainstorming for available domains. Zach liked it because it made fun of Web2.0 sites, Sean liked it because he immediately thought of cool logos and Brian liked that it was memorable and came early in the alphabet. Brendan was in a meeting.

For information on the great open-source code that makes aB possible, check out the credits page.

I'm a UX Designer at Google. I work in Mountain View and live in San Francisco. I don't like IE6, but I DO like cookies. The baked kind. That you eat.

I'm a recent graduate living in San Francisco. Supposedly, I'm also the "visionary". In reality, I'm just their taskmaster. I'm currently employed as an Associate Product Manager at Google.

I'm the cute one. I'm also a Rails Developer at a startup in the Bay Area.

I love that Startup atmosphere, and working as a Web Developer in SF means I'm choking in it. When I do come up for air I'm the local movie-buff and hardcore gamer.

In my spare time I write electronic music and hone my nascent breakdancing skills. I like Rails and love Ruby as a UI Developer at Spiceworks, a startup company in Austin, TX. This puts me conveniently right next to SXSW and the Austin City Limits Festival.
