Garfield the cat doesn’t actually speak, so what would Garfield the comic look like if he just wasn’t there? Apparently it would look like Jon is a mental patient.

pxPipe

What is it?

pxpipe_logo.gifpxPipe allows you to upload images to Facebook remotely, using any device that can send email with image attachments. Since a few of us got iPhones, we were dismayed that we couldn’t automatically upload images taken on the phone to Facebook. Thus pxPipe was born. It currently supports only Facebook, but other image sites should be added soon.

How do I use it?

Head over to pxPipe, sign up for an account, and you’ll receive a unique email@pxpipe.com. Send an email with an image attached to your unique address, and it’ll show up in your Facebook image queue the next time you login.

Technical details

Facebook currently only supports uploading pictures by email from MMS enabled phone. pxPipe gets around that problem by uploading through a custom Facebook app that runs with an infinite session.

pxPipe.com is built on Ruby on Rails, with the background daemon written in Python.
